Sub-Contracting

Sub-contracting is process where by a company involved in production for example a particular finished product (bicycle), sub-contracts the production of some bicycle parts to a third party company. Note that in this scenario the raw materials to be used in production by the third party company are supplied by the contracting company. Hence settlement is only for services provided.
